Protect your deck with Protecto deck ® Protecto deck ® is a cold-applied, self-adhering Crack isolation waterproofing membrane that can waterproof external balconies before laying thin-set tiles or pedestal pavers. The anti-microbial fabric top sheet and the interior reinforcement of Protecto deck ® work together to guarantee a secure bond to the primed substrate. There are two schools of thought on which waterproofing materials are best for tanking a balcony. Consider whether a liquid or sheet membrane would better suit your needs. Because of the high humidity levels, the waterproofing membrane must withstand temperature swings and the slight shifting across as a building expands and contracts. It’s common for some wiggle area between the tiles and the substrate over time. It’s a Class I membrane. Balconies, decks, and rooftops are all suitable locations for its installation. Existing tile, fiber cement sheet, ply flooring, and concrete are all suitable substrates for it. With a dry time of 15-30 minutes and a coverage area of 13 m2 for every roll, it’s a great option.
