Clear penetrating sealer for polished porcelain and natural stone.

Description

A clear solvent based sealer for protecting polished porcelain, stoneware, marble, granite and unpolished natural stone surfaces from moisture and helps reduce staining.

Uses

Apply to polished and unpolished natural stone and polished porcelain to protect from moisture and helps reduce staining.

Specification

The solvent based silicone sealer will not change the appearance of the substrate and be able to reduce water absorption by 91% and helps protect against staining such as Micro Seal manufactured by Construction Chemicals and shall be applied in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

Surface Preparation

The surface to be coated must be sound and clean, free from oil, grease and other contaminants. Completely remove any previous coatings and ensure the surface is dry.
To check the suitability of a sealer, apply a test area before commencing.

Application

On polished natural stone surfaces (eg. marble and granite), and polished porcelain stoneware, apply one application only with a cloth and work into surface irregularities. Immediately remove residue by polishing with a dry cloth. Do not let Micro Seal dry on the surface. If polishing is not sufficient, rub with methylated spirits until excess is removed.
